Last Sunday Maureen and I took a few images to start off the summer right. We just headed outside and soaked up the sun near the pool . On that note , I am wishing you all an exquisite summer filled with as many adventures , mojitos and sunshine possible!
“Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”

The latest Prada Fall-Winter campaign is everything fall dressing should be. Layers of thick wool and delicate embroidery make for a lavish winter wardrobe but pairing it with what looks like rain-slicked hair brings it down a notch. Once again, Catherine McNeil serves as perfect hair-inspiration , showing off her perfect chop.
The first day of summer break is always so refreshingly unusual . It actually took some time for me to get used to not having to study during my every waking hour. I spent the day in Old Montreal , walking around aimlessly, enjoying my newfound freedom and taking the sun. Ah , summer. This editorial shot by Ward Ewen Rafik for RUSSH magazine reminds me of the sweltering , crowded streets of the city in July, muggy and yet somehow invigorating and exiting. Anaïs is simply beautiful , bare faced her features are even more prominent and lovely. The contrast of the very every-day setting and spring’s greatest pieces creating an ideal understated feeling, even making furry shoes seem completely wearable.
Maureen and I are working on a little series of photos we are shooting Sunday, I can’t wait to share them.
Julia Nobis personifies summer in this latest editorial for Russh magazine . Contrasting beautiful gowns and Céline bejeweled sandals with the rustic with desert like set and her very natural beauty. An undone take on the most loved pieces of the season makes for perfect summer inspiration.
It’s almost useless for me to be drooling over the spring pieces in the Zara lookbook , especially when they are calling for a snowstorm tomorrow. In the midst of crossing my fingers , I have realized just how right on Zara is this season. Oversized masculine silhouettes? Check. Suits and bralettes , check. Breezy gamine hair, check , check and check!
Just before I completely forgot what sun actually felt like, spring started to come out of hiding a little bit in this past week .Of course , now that it’s almost ten degrees (so close!)my body is now rejecting winter in every way possible wearing my parka , even if that meant piling a shearling jacket , a hoodie and two scarves.
French Grazia’s latest editorial with Julia Frausche is the perfect summer inspiration to me , because who doesn’t want to be rolling around in the sand and basking in the sun? The styling in these images have everything I like to wear in the summer :net tops ,white pieces and little dresses. Sun soaked skin and carefree attitude , that’s luxury to me.
This editorial shot by Mario Testino was greatly anticipated in both the fashion and music industry, and I completely understand why. When you have Kate Moss and Rihanna on the same images , you should not expect any less. V magazine has been publishing great editorials recently and this one is just one of them. I only have one thing to say : those eyes
Hope this inspired your Saturday (and/or made you a teensy bit jealous)
The only thing all white right now in Montreal is the weather since the snow has been falling in a way tourists would probably think is romantic for the past 24 hours . But when it’s been snowing since November , it gets sort of irritating when all I want to do is look as clean crisp and summery as Kati Nescher does in these images. I am not always fond of studio pictures because I think they don’t always make the pieces look as good but in this case , I think the all white set makes the clothes look even better. Kati looks so youthful and fresh in these crystal clear images , maybe because apart from wearing Alexander Wang , Comme des Garçons , Balenciaga and Givenchy ( hello , dream team!) , the bleached out color scheme makes her features more prominent. If it wasn’t clear enough , I want white in my wardrobe , not in my weather forecast!
This editorial is definitely going in my inspiration file for Sunday’s shoot with Maureen , more on that later!
