Last Sunday Maureen and I took a few images to start off the summer right. We just headed outside and soaked up the sun near the pool . On that note , I am wishing you all an exquisite summer filled with as many adventures , mojitos and sunshine possible!

Although summer’s not quite here yet for me , I still have three long weeks of finals left (hurray!) , I thought I could get a little head start by showing you a few of my favorite things to get your glow on. First and foremost , always , always ,always put some SPF on. I know it’s been said three million times , but just DO IT! Now that you’ve got that settled , I like to avoid putting tinted moisturizer on in the summer, I try to keep a mostly-clean slate. Brushing a little bit of peachy-pink blush is the pièce de résistance . If all else fails , you can always count on blush. Also ,a little spritz of Evian Brumatiseur feels so envigorating , whether at the beach or in the city. Oils are something I am really fond of and this little Josie Maran Argan Oil is the best I have found, moisturizing skin and hair without a trace of greasy residue.
1. Super City Block by Clinique – blocks out impurities and pollution as well as protecting from the sun. Also , has a little bit of a tint and leaves skin looking perfectly dewy.
2. Nars Orgasm Blush- the cult classic , wakes up the most tired of complexions
3. Evian Brumatiseur -no , it’s not just water ! Leaves the skin feeling refreshed and clean.
4. Josie Maran Argan Oil – Perfect for nourishing hair , skin and even nails.
On that note , I am going to sleep now , maybe I’ll even wake up glowier…
This weekend , I found myself in a dressing room with a white crochet bikini, two maxi dresses and three pairs of denim shorts. What was going on? I am usually the most finicky shopper , normally walking out of the shop empty handed. But with summer well on it’s way , I blame this sudden dressing room enthusiasm on the prevalent beautiful weather. Just slipping into a light floor length dress took me right back to Hudson, the small beach town where where I spend most of my summer days , I could almost feel the sun warming my skin and the breeze turning my hair into the most perfectly imperfect mess.
The breezy bohème vibes of Isabel Marant’s spring collection replicated this feeling , making this rainy Tuesday morning even more unbearable than it already is. Although the pieces where similar to all seasons past , the parisian cowboy thematic appearing once again, I still fell in love with almost every effortless piece. Every piece is garnished with gorgeous prints and embellishments , making them casual and unforgettable all at once. If someone can create the ultimate summer wardrobe , it is without a doubt Marant.
As you may or may not know , today is Wednesday and therefore , I’ve got some new miscellaneous images from you. As you may be able to tell , I really want the summertime to come quick .With less than a month of school left I can’t help wanting ice cream, a tan , wearing short shorts and just enjoying every moment of blissful weather.
All images are not mine , you can find them all on my Tumblr which is where I got them and the sources are on there .
I put on my drama face and headed to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts , not only a superb place to pose around while tourists gawk at you uncomfortaly but also , a fine museum, pun intended. I pranced around the marble columns wearing my pin stripe pants from ASOS , which by the way I have been loving recently ,their products have that ideal free shipping/decent quality/good looking balance. I’m planning on living in this soft linen lightness this summer so much in fact that I’ve talked about it before!
Happy weekend , don’t forget to show your mama some love!
The weather is getting so hot recently , I can’t resist shopping around for bikinis.I have been looking for the perfect neoprene bikini for a while now so when I found this one on australian brand Triangl’s Instagram , I immediately had to check out the rest of their styles. I love a white bikini , I like to keep things simple (black or white) when I’m picking out swimwear but I love all the colors , especially Arizona Sunset which I think would look so good with a tan.
It was a beautiful hot day ,so we decided to shoot a little near McGill University. This is possibly the most comfortable outfit I have shown , and I will probably wear it all summer long . After the seemingly never ending winter , it’s so nice to spend the day just out , enjoying the city and being able to drink iced coffee without freezing my fingers. This little skirt/short from Zara is probably my favorite piece right now , very structured without being overwhelming and too “styled” if ya know what I mean.
Just a little peek at Anja’s S Moda El Pais editorial , my two favorite images actually. I love the fresh , soft and summery vibes these images give off . Anja just looks so elegant at the same time as being completely disheveled. She looks so calm I have really been looking to Anja for hair inspiration lately , she has that short-but-not-too-short goodness I want paired with the perfect shade of sunny blond.
Also , there will be more and more outfit shots of me , Maureen and I are trying to take images at least once a week and putting inspiration together for a baby editorial . Hopefully , the more we shoot , the less akward I get.
I am not usually one to change my scent for the season but this bottled up beach from Maison Martin Margiela might have just convinced me after I smelled it today. The best way I could describe it would be that it’s a combination of all the good summer smells , a touch of sunscreen , sunkissed skin and just the smallest hint of coconut sweetness. Somehow , it almost instantly left me nostalgic for a past beach vacation , that being the point of the Replica line , bringing you back to your favorite memory the way only a certain scent can.
Julia Nobis personifies summer in this latest editorial for Russh magazine . Contrasting beautiful gowns and Céline bejeweled sandals with the rustic with desert like set and her very natural beauty. An undone take on the most loved pieces of the season makes for perfect summer inspiration.
